The university has a number of resources to assist you in developing and commercializing your research. The Ventures@UI program is for

In any area of research. The process starts with "disclosing" your idea to the UIRF. We screen your invention for it's technical and market potential. We assist you in patent, copyright, and trade secret applications. Whether you want to license your technology to a 3rd party, or want to start a venture, we can assist you. Don't understand the business side? Want help negotiating and managing the license? Need management assistance? UIRf has educational and process assistance for each step.
