Guiding Technology Innovations to Market

The University of Iowa Research Foundation (UIRF), a 501c3 corporation, is the hub of technology commercialization at the UI.

UIRF works with faculty and staff to identify and license inventions to companies that bring those inventions to market. We work with entrepreneurs, faculty, industry, and investors to develop UI spinout companies.

We also advise the UI on intellectual property matters for clinical trials and sponsored research.
